Liveaboards in Thailand are one of the best ways to explore the Andaman Sea, and the Similan Islands are one of the top ten scuba diving and snorkeling destinations in the world. Comprising the nine islands that make up the Similan archipelago plus the outlying islands of Koh Bon and Koh Tachai, the Similan and Surin Islands National Park also includes dive sites around the five islands in the Surin chain. Shallow tropical coral reefs, soaring pinnacles, and massive coral gardens form a breeding ground for multiple fish species and Hawksbill turtles. Wall dives and ridges play host to passing schools of manta rays, and those interested in shark diving have the opportunity to spot several species.

Richelieu Rock is the standout dive site of our Similan Islands liveaboard itinerary. A collection of pinnacles forming a crescent just north of the Surin islands, Richelieu Rock is worth several dives as it's far too big to see everything in just one or two. Underwater attractions range from the very big to the very small, with unlimited macro and the chance to see the largest fish in the sea, the whale shark, which is a common sight here.
